The Role

Centacare's Whyalla site presents an opportunity for an experienced Disability Support Worker (DSW) to join us on a casual basis. We offer services including the Independent Living Program in their own accommodation of choice, and 24/7 supported accommodation services. In this role, you'll assist our clients by providing services and support aimed at maximizing their independence at home and in the community. You'll also help strengthen their relationships with family and social networks and facilitate opportunities for them to work towards achieving personal goals.

Other responsibilities include:

• Supervise and support clients with daily living activities and personal care needs, either individually or as part of a team.
• Facilitate community access opportunities for clients, including social events and medical appointments.
• Maintain accurate documentation to monitor and report on client progress and health care.
• Implement educational, skill development, and social activity programs for clients.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing clients' Individual Support Plans to ensure personalized care.
• Provide person-centred support tailored to each client's goals and foster increased skill development and independence.

The Role

The Administration and Intake Officer is based at Centacare's Noarlunga site and plays an integral role in supporting the delivery of Counselling and Mediation Programs within the Children's Services Unit (CSU).

Reporting to the Site Manager, this role provides high-quality administrative and office support while serving as the first point of contact for clients accessing services. Combining strong administration capability with a client-centred approach, the position supports intake, screening and referral processes to ensure families are connected with the most appropriate services.

As a key member of the site administration team, you will contribute to a welcoming, professional and efficient service environment while supporting staff, clients, and program outcomes across the CSU.

The role supports the delivery of the following programs:

Family Relationship Counselling

Supporting individuals, couples and families to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and navigate family challenges.

Family Law Counselling

Providing counselling and support to families experiencing separation, family law matters and relationship transitions.

PEAS in a Pod

Supporting parents and carers through education, connection and practical strategies that strengthen family wellbeing.

Sellick Play and Connect Groups

Facilitating opportunities for children, parents and carers to connect, learn and build supportive community networks through play-based activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide reception services including welcoming visitors and responding to telephone and email enquiries.
• Assess and triage enquiries, referring clients to appropriate internal Counselling and Mediation programs or providing information for clients to contact external service if appropriate.
• Provide administrative support as required which may include supporting teams with scheduling client appointments, preparing correspondence, letters and client program information packs

What you need to bring

     Essential

• Certificate III Qualifications in Community Services or equivalent
• Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
• Excellent computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Publisher etc.)
• Demonstrated administrative skills, including a high level of literacy, and use of various formatted documents within a service delivery environment.
• Demonstrated experience and skills in managing a range of computer systems including data entry and word processing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact professionally and calmly with client and a range of stakeholders by phone and in person
• Experience in dealing with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Backgrounds
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a multi-faceted team environment

Intensive outreach service focused on strengthening parenting capacity to improve family functioning and child safety with children under 18 years of age based in Noarlunga.

The Role

As a Case Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting families through a collaborative, therapeutic case management approach. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll partner closely with families, the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department for Child Protection (DCP), and other professionals to promote child safety and family wellbeing.

Lead Southern outreach support services, which includes Restore Intensive Family Services, Breathing Space and Family Connections Program, delivering lasting outcomes for children, young women and families.

The Role

The Senior Manager, Southern Services is based at our Noarlunga office and provides strategic and operational leadership across three impactful programs: 

Restore Intensive Family Services (South, including Mount Gambier)

Restore supports families with children from unborn to 18 years who are experiencing multiple and complex challenges. Through intensive, child-centred, and family-focused interventions, the program aims to:

• Establish child safety.
• Increase parenting capacity.
• Strengthen family functioning.
• Enhance family connections to culture, community, and natural supports.

Breathing Space Program

An innovative program funded through the Department of Human Services, Breathing Space supports young women under 25 who have experienced the removal of a child from their care and are at risk of repeat child removals.

Through a therapeutic and culturally informed approach, the program supports participants to strengthen their emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing, build healthy relationships, strengthen identity, and increase community connections.

Family Connections Program

Based in Mount Gambier, Family Connections delivers flexible outreach support to vulnerable families across the Limestone Coast region. The program strengthens parenting knowledge, family functioning, child development outcomes, and community participation through workshops, activities, and early intervention support.

Working in partnership with the Executive Manager and Senior Practitioners, this leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, contractual compliance, program performance, workforce development, and stakeholder engagement across Southern Adelaide and the Limestone Coast.

Through a commitment to therapeutic, trauma-responsive and culturally safe practice, the Senior Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering services that preserve families, strengthen parenting capacity, support vulnerable young women, and build stronger community connections.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Restore, Breathing Space and Family Connections.
• Ensure programs achieve contractual obligations, service targets, KPIs and intended outcomes.
• Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and professional development to multidisciplinary teams.

About the program

In partnership with the South Australian Office for Women, Centacare delivers Haven services in selected regional communities. The Limestone Coast Haven, based in Mount Gambier, serves as a central hub for women and children experiencing domestic, family, and sexual violence. By providing access to information, support, and integrated services, the Haven ensures timely, coordinated, and person-centred responses that meet individual needs.

The Role

As a Haven Community Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting victim-survivors by building community awareness, strengthening local service networks, and fostering coordinated responses to domestic, family, and sexual violence.

Working collaboratively with the Women’s Information Service (WIS) Haven Coordinator, local services, and volunteers, you will help deliver a responsive, person-centred program that meets the unique needs of the community while contributing to a consistent statewide Haven approach. You will also play an important role in engaging and supporting volunteers who help drive local Haven activities and initiatives.

The key duties in this role will include:

• Promote community awareness of domestic, family and sexual violence, and the role of the Haven within the local community.

About the Program

The Murray Mallee & Adelaide Hills Domestic Violence Service provides specialist support and supported accommodation to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence, including Aboriginal family violence, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness as a result of violence.

The Role

This is a newly created role within our Domestic Violence Service unit.

In this role, you will provide leadership, practice guidance and specialist support to Case Managers and Case Workers, while maintaining a strong focus on client safety, risk management and positive outcomes.

Working as part of the South Australian Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Alliance, you will contribute to a collaborative service system committed to delivering services that are safety-focused, inclusive and culturally safe.

You will provide specialist advice and secondary consultation on domestic and family violence risk, safety planning and case coordination, while supporting clients to navigate complex systems and access appropriate housing and support services.

The key duties in this role will include:

• Provide direction, consultation and support to Case Managers and Case Workers in the provision of quality outcomes to clients.
• Provide clinical supervision to Case Managers and Case Workers in consultation with the Manager.
• Participate in and support the work of the Statewide DFV Alliance.
• Report writing, including Risk and Safety Reports for SAPOL, Prosecution and the Courts.
• Liaison with government and non-government agencies in relation to risk and safety.
• Advocate on behalf of clients to improve access to services, resources and housing outcomes
• Contribute to data collection, reporting and quality improvement activities.

About You

Essential Criteria 

• Social Work Degree
• Demonstrated experience in the areas of domestic violence, mental health, substance abuse, homelessness and case management, with a trauma-informed practice approach

Desirable

• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
• Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

•  A Registered Nurse with accreditation to the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
