Provide high level support to the Executive Manager and lead the administrative team within the Children's Services Unit. The Role The Administration Manager is primarily based at Seaton and is required to attend other metropolitan Children’s Service Unit (CSU) sites across the Northern and Southern regions on a regular basis. The CSU delivers a suite of programs that support individuals, families, and children. These services are designed to strengthen parenting capacity through the provision of family support services, therapeutic interventions, the development of parenting and relationship skills, and connection to relevant community resources. The CSU works in partnership with families to build on existing strengths, address identified challenges and enhance confidence and resilience. A range of programs is delivered to support families, children, and young people, including parenting groups, home-visiting programs, Intensive Family Services, Specialist Dad Support, Foster Care, and Reunification programs. Responsibilities - Work collaboratively with the Executive Manager to manage the administration team within the Children’s Services Unit.
- Ensure effective recruitment, induction and training and the coordination and provision of ongoing professional development.
- Ensure that all workers, paid and unpaid including contractors understand and comply with their WHS responsibilities, and that they are appropriately inducted and trained to carry out their duties.
- Prepare confidential, sensitive documentation, leadership communications and other documentation that requires high degree of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Establish effective relationships with all members of the leadership team for the purpose of problem solving, knowledge sharing and achieving business goals, whilst maintaining appropriate communication protocols and confidentiality on all topics.
- Co-ordinate and minute monthly CSU Manager’s meetings.
- Event planning and management for Unit days and key events.
- Lead management and maintenance of the Children’s Services Unit portal sites utilising SharePoint.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential - Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
- Experienced administrative leadership in the provision of a confidential administrative service and in supporting an Executive Manager / Leadership team role with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience liaising with a wide range of internal and external clients.
- Extensive experience within the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail.
Desirable - Previous experience in Community / Non-Government organisation.
- Experience with web-based tools – SharePoint, Expr3ss, Teams.
- Demonstrated experience in managing events.
Special Conditions - Travel between sites.

- Some work outside of standard hours may be required.
