Support Worker - Casual Pool

We are seeking Casual Pool Support Worker's to join our team and assist with providing support and activities to enhance the lives of those we support

About the role...


Support Workers on the casual pool provide support to people residing in Centacare’s 24/7 accommodation programs. Support Workers will have skills in assisting a wide range of client groups such as young people, young women pregnant and parenting, people living with HIV and people receiving support around substance abuse issues.


The Support Worker will be flexible and able to implement a range of supports related to mental health and well-being, substance use, relationship/family dynamics and have the skills to apply a trauma informed approach.

Casual pool positions suit people who enjoy variety and have the flexibility to work as and when service needs require across our residential locations.


Depending on skill level and program suitability the Support Worker – Casual Pool has the opportunity to work shifts across the following programs -

  • Carlow Place, Louise Place, Malvern Place, Coolock House, Hannah Place, Cheltenham Place and Alban Place.  All programs provide 24 hour support in a therapeutic environment.


What you will need...



  • Community Services Level 3 or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including passive overnights and weekends
  • A current Drivers Licence
  • A Department of Community and Social Inclusion Child Related Employment Screening Clearance is essential for this position


  • Community Services Level 4
