Join Restore as a Financial Counsellor and make a real impact by empowering families with financial guidance, advocacy, and support. The Role Restore is an intensive, voluntary family support service designed to help families with children (unborn to 18 years) facing multiple and complex challenges. Using a restorative, strength-based approach, Restore empowers families, strengthens relationships, and prioritizes child safety. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver trauma-informed interventions, practical support, and culturally safe services that preserve family wellbeing. We are seeking a dedicated Financial Counsellor to join the Restore team. In this role, you will provide trauma-informed financial assessment, education, advocacy, and planning to support families in building stability and safety. Working closely with Case Managers and other professionals, you will help families manage financial stress, improve financial literacy, and access relevant resources. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on families’ lives through a collaborative, child-centred approach. This is a fixed term, full-time role until 17 November 2026. What you need to bring Essential - Qualification in Financial Counselling
- Membership to South Australian Financial Counsellors Association (SAFCA)
- Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation
- Experience providing financial counselling services to vulnerable families
- Experience working with vulnerable families with complex needs
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to undertake some work out of standard work hours when required
Desirable - Case Management Experience
- Sound theoretical knowledge of the impact of childhood trauma and factors affecting
attachment as well as relevant therapeutic interventions
