Looking for a leadership role that truly matters to your community? Join us in shaping meaningful mental health support across Mount Gambier and the Limestone Coast. Centacare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to oversee the Your LINC Mental Health Services in the Limestone Coast region on full time (1.0 FTE) basis. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team delivering strength-based mental health support to individuals in outreach settings. About the Role Based in Mount Gambier, you will provide leadership, guidance, and operational oversight to ensure the effective delivery of Your LINC services. This includes two core support packages: - Intensive Crisis Support (ICS) – A high-intensity case management service supporting individuals in crisis for up to six weeks, with a focus on reducing distress and improving wellbeing.
- Non-Acute Psychosocial Support (NAPS) – A moderate-intensity case management program supporting individuals for up to four months (with possible extensions) to enhance independence, community connections, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and supervise a small team of Mental Health and Peer Workers.
- Manage referrals, case allocations, and service tracking.
- Participate in direct client service delivery by holding a caseload.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through strong leadership and transparent decision-making.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
What You’ll Need Essential: - Certificate IV in Mental Health (non-clinical) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in leading and supervising teams with the ability to motivate and support staff.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including advocacy and conflict resolution.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and de-escalate crises.
- Understanding of NDIS eligibility, application, and transition processes.
Desirable: - Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related human services field.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges and complex needs.
- Competence in documenting case notes and using electronic databases.
- Experience using Athena Penelope data management system.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.
Additional Information - Some flexibility in working hours is required.
- Use of a Centacare fleet vehicle or personal vehicle (grey fleet) may be necessary.
