About the Position
Mobile Family Connections focuses on connecting families with their local community, services and other families. The program supports parents to provide children (0 – 5 years old) with secure attachment and quality environments that are safe, positive and stimulating. Services are provided in the Onkaparinga region including Aldinga, Noarlunga, Sellicks Beach and Seaford Meadows.
The key responsibilities in the Community Engagement Worker role include:
Drive (including load and unload) the Mobile Family Connections playgroup bus
Prepare for playgroup sessions including activities, snacks and information about local activities and services
Document outcomes from each playgroup
Increase the knowledge and skills of isolated families by providing them access and referrals to a range of support services and activities
Produce reports for funding body on a 6 monthly basis

To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following criteria:
Availability to work part-time across Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
Experience working with parents/caregivers
Community engagement/development experience
Knowledge of local services
Strong interpersonal skills
Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) (previously known as Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance)
Valid Driver's Licence

Early childhood experience and/or qualifications
Social Work degree or equivalent
