The Role

The Disability Support Worker (DSW) is responsible for assisting in the provision of high quality direct care services for people with disability registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

What you need to bring

  • Certificate III in Disability Services or Individual Support or acceptable alternative

       OR

  • A commitment undertake Certificate III in Individual Support within 6 months of commencement of employment, completing the Certificate no longer that 2 years after commencement of employment
  • Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (previously known as ‘Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance’)
  • Valid NDIS Worker Check
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence 
  • Current acceptable First Aid and CPR Certificate (CPR updated annually)
  • Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’
  • Willingness and availability to work evenings, weekends and overnights 
  • Due to the nature of our services, Centacare is required to comply with COVID19 government directions. You will be required to provide Centacare with your COVID19 vaccination certificate. If you cannot comply, you are encouraged to have a confidential conversation with the hiring manager about your individual circumstances to find out how this may apply to you.
