A fulfilling role for a committed individual to advance the safety of women and children in the Limestone Coast. The Role Centacare is offering a part-time Case Manager position within the Limestone Coast Domestic Violence Service, based in Mount Gambier. This 0.8 FTE role is until 30 June 2025, working four days a week from 9am to 5pm. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, you will be part of a skilled team of specialists working together to provide tailored case management and high-quality, client-focused services to domestic violence victim- survivors and their children. Your efforts will support their recovery and help them achieve sustainable housing and improved life outcomes. In this role, you'll collaborate with the Safe at Home team and case management teams across the Limestone Coast, Murray Mallee, Adelaide Hills, Riverland, and Whyalla regions. This position is funded on a fixed term opportunity until 30th June 2025 Other responsibilities: - Conduct risk assessments using high-quality domestic and family violence practices and trauma-informed approaches.
- Perform Home Safety Audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement risk-mitigating strategies.
- Coordinate property security upgrades to enhance safety.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors across regions, adhering to Centacare’s Contractor Management policies.
- Facilitate Safety Planning in collaboration with clients to ensure their safety.
- Make timely referrals to additional support services as needed.
About You You are dedicated and empathetic professional with a strong background in domestic and family violence practices. You possess excellent skills in conducting risk assessments and home safety audits, with a keen ability to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective security measures. You have Strong interpersonal skills which are essential for building and maintaining relationships with contractors and coordinating property security upgrades. Your ability to facilitate safety planning collaboratively with clients, combined with a proactive approach to making timely referrals to additional support services, will be key to your success. A commitment to trauma-informed practices and a passion for enhancing the safety and wellbeing of women and children are crucial traits for this role. To be successful, you will need: - Degree in Social Work and/or demonstrated experience commensurate with the position
- Ability to travel interstate when required
- Ability to undertake some work out of standard work hours when required
- Valid DHS Working with Children check (WWCC)
- Valid Drivers Licence
Desirable - Extensive demonstrated experience in sectors such as domestic and Aboriginal family violence, mental health, homelessness, case management and/or trauma informed service delivery
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities
- Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse families and communities
