Support children’s safety and wellbeing through trauma‑informed, family‑centred interventions that strengthen capacity and connection. The Role Join RESTORE Intensive Family Service as a Case Manager and work alongside families with children from unborn to 18 years who are navigating multiple and complex challenges. Using strengths-based and restorative approaches, you will deliver therapeutic case management and practical in-home support that builds parenting capacity, strengthens family functioning, repairs relationships and promotes child safety. As each family’s key worker, you will bring together a multidisciplinary response tailored to their needs. You will coordinate assessments, case planning and a range of therapeutic and practical interventions, partnering with the Department of Human Services (DHS), Department for Child Protection (DCP) and other professionals. Your work will include developing parenting skills, connecting families with community and culture, and advocating to address child safety risk factors. At the heart of RESTORE is child-centred, family-focused practice. You will ensure children and families are heard, supported and actively involved, while providing culturally safe and inclusive assessment, planning and intervention. In doing so, you will help parents create and sustain physically, socially and emotionally safe homes for their children. Key responsibilities - Assessment of parental strengths and areas of need (including child protection risk and protective factors) and lead the development of a case plan
- Utilise and support the use of the evidence-based assessment tools - North Carolina Family Assessment Scale (NCFAS), and other tools. Provide inclusive, culturally responsive support to improve families’ relationships and connections to culture and community
- Implement practical and therapeutic interventions to support parents to create and maintain a physically, socially and emotionally safe home environment for their children
- Support the ongoing delivery of the Centacare’s Therapeutic Framework, Stabilising Trauma in Everyday Practice (STEP)
- Support the RESTORE IFS evaluation plan and recommendations

- Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation
- Current Driver's Licence
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
Desirable - Experience working with vulnerable families with complex needs
- Case Management Experience
- Sound theoretical knowledge of the impact of childhood trauma and factors affecting attachment as well as relevant therapeutic interventions
